We are offering two race routes. A long 19 km course and a 10 km course. We will head out into Burrard inlet in the hope that there will be some afternoon inflow winds.
This rugged west coast fjord is a great venue for this epic small boat race. Racers from South West Canada and Northwestern USA congregate for a friendly and fierce competition. Open to Kayak, Surf Skis, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Outrigger Canoes and Dug-out Canoes, it's a great event. Categories for Men/Women, Sea Kayaks, Fast Sea Kayaks / Surf Skis / Double Kayaks, Co-ed Doubles, SUP 12'6" 14', Unlimited.
Stand Up Paddle boarders can compete in the 10 KM course.
We have moved the start back so our friends from the south and Vancouver Island don't have to wake up too early.
Once again we are teaming up with our friends in Bellingham, Washington to offer this double header weekend race. Participate in both the Tour de Indian Arm and The Dan Harris Challenge and help your respective nation win the cup. Canada may kick butt in hockey but we have yet to claim the kayak championship.
